Environmental sustainability refers to the responsible use and management of natural resources and ecosystems to ensure their long-term viability and the well-being of present and future generations. It is the balance between the natural environment and human activities, focusing on minimizing the negative influence of human activities on the environment and promoting the preservation of natural resources.
We offer an Environmental Sustainability course designed to teach how to develop and implement an Environmental Management System to make the workplace greener.
What is an Environmental Management System (EMS)?
An EMS is a framework designed to help organizations manage their environmental impacts and improve their overall environmental performance. It provides a systematic approach for identifying, evaluating, controlling, and monitoring environmental impacts and risks associated with organization’s activities, products, and services.
Implementing an EMS can bring a range of benefits to an organization, including reduced costs, improved environmental performance, enhanced reputation, and increased regulatory compliance.
Broadview offers a one-day, instructor-led environmental sustainability workshop that will teach participants the benefits of establishing an Environmental Management System, the steps necessary to develop an EMS, how to determine the environmental impacts within an organization, and how to set objectives and targets. An in-depth case study is also included to give students hands-on practice with creating an EMS.
