Training program for Ukrainian Nationals

New to Canada?

Broadview Academy offers  technical and professional training courses with aim to upgrade skill and enhance career development path .

Many families have fled their home country to find safety in Canada due to the current war without a solid plan. This can be very intimidating and can cause stress due to the difference in culture and work environment, lack of resources, etc.

To show our support and help with the transition, Broadview has made the decision to provide easy-integration training programs for Ukrainian Nationals and their family members that have moved to Canada recently. Our focus to connect them with Canadian culture, orientation, language and employment services.

We are offering the following courses free of cost:

  • Cross-Cultural Business Communication

This instructor led training course teaches students the basics of cross-cultural business communication. Participants learn about how cultural differences affect speech, nonverbal and
written communication. Participants learn how to identify cross-cultural barriers, work with interpreters and translators, organize and participate in cross-cultural meetings, and handle
negotiations and problem solving in cross-cultural meetings. Participants also learn about building relationships as well as teams across cultures.

  • Mastering the Interview

Going to an interview is one of the key elements of the job search process, and as with any skill, we get better at it with preparation and practice. In this one-day workshop, participants will explore how to prepare for an interview, what kinds of questions to expect, and the questions they should think about asking. They will also be ready for invitations to second interviews, testing, shadowing, and learn how to follow up on their interview sessions.

  • Resume Writing Workshop

In this workshop, we will discuss the pros and cons of each resume format and learn how to highlight your relevant skills and experience. This course will help you make a resume according to the Canadian best practices that will stand out from others.
